2 Day Murchison Falls National Park Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Top of the Falls – Boat Cruise

Your safari begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of rural Uganda, local villages, and beautiful countryside landscapes.

Optional stopovers can be made at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking and at local markets for refreshments and photography.

Upon arrival in the park, proceed to the famous Top of the Falls where the mighty River Nile forcefully squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging down dramatically. Enjoy the thunderous sounds, misty views, and unforgettable photo opportunities.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Victoria Nile towards the bottom of the falls. During the cruise, expect sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species along the riverbanks.

After the activities, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Return to Kampala

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive across the northern savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. This is the best time to spot wildlife as animals are most active in the cool morning hours.

Look out for lions, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas, and if lucky, leopards roaming through the park. The game drive also offers spectacular scenery and excellent photography moments.

After the game drive, enjoy breakfast and begin your journey back to Kampala, arriving later in the evening with unforgettable safari memories.
